Southwest of the Bog is a children's book and a work in progress. It is about a blue heron rookery. A rookery is a colony where there are generally lots of nests. It is a busy place with birds flying in and out of their nests all day ! In a rookery birds lay their eggs and when they hatch the young fledglings grow up. Once they learn to fly the fledglings leave the nest and the rookery. These are some of the digital-art pieces I am working on for the book.
