My name is Barbie and my hobby is photography and digitalart,
which I took up as a way to emotionally "cope" when my mother was very sick.
That was in 2010.
I think that not a day has passed since then
when my camera and computer haven't been an intricate part of my life.
Georgie Ann was my mother.
Mom died from Alzheimer’s when she was 73 years old.
Soon after Mom died, I began to write a book of our journey through Alzheimer’s.
My book, When It’s All Said and Done, is a memoir.
Mom was a kindergarten teacher, who loved collecting books.
In keeping with her passion, we are publishing children’s books. Our
children’s books are geared towards young people between 3-6 years old.
My web site was set up to announce and introduce our books and to share some of my
photography and digital-art.
My blog is diverse in talking, not only
Alzheimer’s, but of Christianity, photography and what not.
Mom was in the habit of using the words “and what not”. What not can
be understood as any other, whatever else, unspecified things or ect…
Hence the name:
Sweet Georgie Ann’s Books and What Not
