Just behind me, no further than 1/8 of a mile and past the rapids, 3 men
cast their lines as the sun shines on the water. As I glance over my
shoulder, I see just a stone's throw from the fishermen, 2 teenagers,
beckoned by the rushing dam, sneaking in towards the river, grabbing sticks
to throw while jumping over rocks. As I look left, I make a slight waving
motion with my hand as two kayakers float in beside me from their
morning paddle, up beyond the bridge. Anxious and watchfu,l I squint my
eye as I hold my camera while peering through the lens.
Today's the day.
Lucy is laying her first egg and I am finally in my “gone fishin” mode!
